God Never Lies
Titus 1:1-3 “Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to further the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth which accords with godliness, in hope of eternal life which God, who never lies, promised ages ago and at the proper time manifested in his word through the preaching with which I have been entrusted by command of God our Savior”
In our lives we will always have some sort of doubts. We will doubt ourselves, we will doubt other people, we will doubt our leaders, we will doubt our faith The one thing that we should remember whenever doubt tries to take hold of us is that God never lies. As such, we should not doubt the promises He has made.
The Lord promised eternal life ages ago and it will be manifested at the proper time. Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved (Acts 16:31). God never lies and we are right to place our hope in Him. We are encouraged by Christ to have faith and that faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains (Matthew 17:20-21). When people sought out Jesus to be healed, He would tell them that their faith had healed them (e.g. Mark 5:34, Luke 18:42).
There may be times when you question yourself or why you believe what you believe, but seek the Lord in prayer. Ask Him to remind you of His mighty works. The people who were healed by the Lord Jesus no doubt remembered what He had done for them and believed (John 9:38). Write down memories of times He answered your prayers or times when you witnessed divine intervention. Ponder the works of the Lord, meditate on His Word, and remember the sacrifice Jesus has made for you.
We are urged not to let our hearts become unbelieving in Hebrews 3:12. So let us hold fast to the truth with faith even when it’s challenging, even when life is hard, even when it seems like everything is falling apart. God made a promise of eternal life, so let us press on in this life, striving for godliness, so that we can one day stand proud before Him and enter His rest.
