Grow Into Christ
Ephesians 4:15-16 “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every joint with which it is supplied, when each part is working properly, makes bodily growth and upbuilds itself in love.”
The body of Christ, the church, have all been given different gifts. Some of us apostleship, some prophets some evangelists, some pastors, and some teachers. While we all have unique personalities, varied backgrounds, different gifts, the Lord wants us to be as one body working together for the Lord. We should be vigilant to not be tossed about by the distractions of the world nor every possible religious doctrine of curiosity. If we can focus on our own personal growth in the Lord Jesus, then we will work together in unity, properly, and build ourselves up in love.
If instead we focus on our differences such as what we wear, where we work, the way we speak, the color of our skin, our education, our politics, our food, and so many other things, then we can find a million reasons to be divided. When we focus on these differences or reasons to be divided, then we judge other people for not being like us or doing things like us. Rather, let us think about how we all fit together like a jigsaw puzzle and can put our God given gifts to work for His glory and grow into Christ.
