In the Quiet
Mark 1:35 “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.”
I personally have found the best routine for me is to rise early and seek the Lord in the quiet of the morning. Once the sun has risen and the day begins, so many things can come my way causing me to be distracted. If I can rise early before the notifications chime and work begins, then I am able to meditate on the Lord, His word, and have a solitary time of prayer with my Lord almighty.
Your day may be structured differently due to work, family, health, and other reasons. Seek out a time in the quiet of the day, morning, or evening where you can give all of your mind, heart, and soul. You may find that doing it before the day starts sets the right tone allowing you to think on Him throughout the day. Or you may find that a time in the middle of the day breaks up the routine and the constant flow of life’s traffic. Or the quiet of the evening when it’s just you and God left in the room. Whatever you think is best, give Him your undivided attention. Make time for Him and make it a priority as you would for someone you love dearly.
