Submit to God & Resist the Devil

James 4:7 “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

Have you not noticed that under the intensity of temptation to sin in thought or deed, that it is pervasive like a loud roar in your mind?

It overwhelms your thoughts with the urge to sin. You resist and you pray, but the temptation does not relent. With determination, with prayer, and with your submission to God, you resist and overcome it. Then suddenly, the thoughts and desire to sin vanish.

My brother and sister, this is because the devil has fled from you. Give praise unto God for giving you the strength to resist.
