The Mind of the Lord
Romans 11:33-34 “O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! ‘For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?’”
There are so many things about the world around us that can inspire us with awe about the Lord God. For example, the orderliness of His creation which we see revealed through things like physics and mathematics. Or the ability that humans can contemplate the good and evil, life after death, and a Creator with infinite power.
Even though humans, with all of our collective intellect and research, we can never truly know the mind of God. The depths of His essence are unsearchable, while we on the other hand, are completely transparent to Him. He sees our reasoning, our words, our deeds. However, we only see His actions. We can read His words and we can see His power over time, but we’ll never know the riches of His wisdom and knowledge, even when finally joined with Him in heaven.
How truly wonderful it is to think of the time we will spend in paradise with Him, learning more about Him, hearing His direct word, and being continuously full of awe and wonder at the mighty God we serve.
