This is Your Chance

Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.”

We live in a society full of distractions. There is endless entertainment streaming right now. Endless sports games of every variety. Endless shops for you to trade your time and money for anything and everything your heart desires. There is even endless work to keep you busy without ceasing.

As a result of these endless distractions demanding our attention, we live reactively responding to the stimuli. Are you reactively responding to God as well or are you proactively prioritizing time with Him? Do you find time to earnestly meditate and then pray before the Lord with a repentant heart? Do you allow quiet time throughout the day to let the Lord’s words and commandments fill your thoughts? Or is God an afterthought while everything else takes priority as you reactively respond to whatever comes your way?
