When I Was

Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

When I was lost, the Lord is the way.

When I was wrong, the Lord is the truth.

When I was dark, the Lord is the light.

When I was evil, the Lord is holy.

When I was unkind, the Lord is good.

When I was repentant, the Lord is merciful.

When I was alone, the Lord is my companion.

When I was grieving, the Lord is my peace.

When I was rejoicing, the Lord is my song.
